A wedge that turns your Ring doorbell to face the path, the gate or the steps instead of staring at the wall opposite. It sits between the doorbell's own back plate and the wall, so nothing about your existing fitting changes.

What it does

  • Turns the view left or right. The adjustment is side to side only - it does not move the doorbell up or down. It adjusts smoothly anywhere from 25 to 55 degrees, left or right: open your doorbell app, turn the wedge until the picture shows your path, then tighten the 4 screws and the angle locks.
  • Fits a corner at 45°. Set it to 45° and your doorbell points straight out of the middle of the corner. 30° is in the range too, so one part covers both settings people usually look for.
  • Keeps your existing back plate. The wedge goes behind the plate your Ring already came with, so you are not replacing anything.
  • Two ways to fix it. Galvanised wall screws and plugs for masonry, or the 3M VHB adhesive pad if you would rather not drill - uPVC, glass, tiled porches, rented flats.
  • Made to live outside. Heavy-duty UV-stable PETG plastic with stainless steel doorbell screws and washers, so it will not yellow or go brittle after a couple of British winters. It is plastic, not metal - and that is deliberate. PETG will not corrode, and it will not sit between your doorbell and its wireless signal the way a metal mount can.
  • Washers for the plates that need them. Some doorbell back plates have screw holes a little too big for the screw, so the head pulls straight through instead of holding - the eight stainless steel washers, in two sizes, sort that out. They will not fit every doorbell, as some models leave no room for one, so use them only if yours needs them.

Who it suits

Narrow porches, doors set into a recess, doorbells fitted on the wrong side of the frame - anywhere the camera currently shows you a hedge while the delivery driver walks past out of shot.

If you have a Nest, Blink, Eufy, Arlo, Reolink or Tapo doorbell, our Slim wedge is the one you want. Doorbell not included.

Eight screws in total, in two sets, so count them before you think something is missing: the four small ones fix your doorbell to the wedge and lock the angle you have set, and the four longer ones go into the wall with their plugs.

What does the wedge do?
It turns your doorbell to one side so it points at your path, gate or steps instead of straight ahead - ideal for narrow porches, walls beside the door, or gateposts. The adjustment is left to right only; it does not move the doorbell up or down.
How much angle does it give?
Anywhere from 25 to 55 degrees, left or right: 30 degrees, 45 degrees for a corner, or anything between. Choose the angle with your doorbell app open, then tighten the 4 screws and it locks.
Do I need to drill?
Not unless you want to. It sits between the back plate and the wall, and the kit includes four small stainless steel doorbell screws, eight stainless steel washers in two sizes, four wall screws with plugs, and a 3M VHB adhesive pad - use whichever suits your wall.
Do I have to take the doorbell down?
Only briefly. You unclip the doorbell, unscrew its back plate, put the wedge behind the plate and put it all back - about five minutes with a screwdriver.
Will it fit my Ring doorbell?
Yes - this is the Regular wedge, shaped for Ring doorbells including the Battery and Pro models, plus the Aqara G4 and G410. If you have a Nest, Blink or Eufy doorbell, the Slim wedge is the right one.
Will it work on a corner?
Yes. Set it to 45° and your doorbell looks along the corner instead of into the wall.
Will it help my night video?
It can. If your doorbell sits close to a wall beside the door, its infrared night light bounces off that wall and back into the lens, washing the picture out white. Turning the doorbell away from the wall cuts that glare.
Can I use the holes already in my wall?
Usually, yes. The back of the wedge is designed to line up with the wall holes most doorbells leave behind, so in most cases you can reuse them. If yours do not line up, you will need to drill new holes for the wall screws and plugs in the box, or use the adhesive pad instead on a smooth surface.
How does my doorbell fix onto the wedge?
Under a thin front skin there is a full grid of screw cells. Push a small screwdriver tip through the skin where your doorbell's mounting holes sit, then drive the screws straight in. No drilling, no template. Your doorbell's mounting holes just need to fall within the 124 x 57 mm fixing area.
How big is it?
Overall 136 x 70 x 39 mm. The fixing area on the front, where your doorbell's mounting holes go, is 124 x 57 mm.
Will it affect my doorbell's Wi-Fi signal?
No. It is plastic, not metal, on purpose. PETG will not sit between your doorbell and its wireless signal the way a metal mount can.
Does it tilt the doorbell up or down?
No. The adjustment is side to side only, left or right. It does not change the up-down angle.
Will the angle slip over time?
No. Once the 4 screws are tightened, the angle locks and the wedge is very solid.
Can I stick it to any wall?
The adhesive pad holds on clean, smooth glass, uPVC, vinyl siding, painted metal or glazed tile. On brick, render, stone, or painted or bare wood, use the wall screws and plugs in the box instead.
