This uses a serious industrial-strength adhesive, not a peel-and-restick pad. That’s what lets it grip a phone or small tablet without drooping — but it also means it’s built to stay put. On an emulsion-painted or papered wall it can lift the paint or paper when you take it off, so treat it as semi-permanent and put it somewhere you’re happy to keep it.

Best on hard, sealed surfaces
Tile, glass, a mirror, metal or gloss-painted wood are where it grips best and comes away cleanest — think kitchen splashback, bathroom mirror, shower screen or the side of a metal cabinet. Wipe the surface to cut any grease, press firmly, and leave it a few hours before you hang anything on it.
