3D Design & File Modification
No model? A file that needs changing? We’ll design your part from scratch or add the custom features — mounting holes, threads, brackets, logos — before it prints. Send us what you’ve got and tell us what you need, and we’ll turn it into a clean, print-ready file.
What we need from you
A sketch, a photo, a drawing, or an existing file — plus a note on what you want changed or added. Rough is fine; we’ll ask questions if anything’s unclear before we start.
The specifics
| CAD software | Fusion 360 — industry-standard, so you can have the editable source too, not just the mesh. |
| What we do | Model from scratch, edit and repair STLs, add features (mounting holes, threads, brackets, text and logos), and fix files that won’t print. |
| Deliverables | A print-ready file (STL or STEP), plus the editable Fusion 360 source on request. |
| Lead time | From about a week — larger or more complex jobs take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline up front. |
| Price | Per hour or a fixed price per project, whichever suits the job — from £60/hour. You get a quote before we begin. |

Who this is for — and when you don’t need us
Ideal when you know what you want but don’t have a printable file — or you have one that won’t slice cleanly. If you already have a clean, watertight model, skip straight to 3D printing.
FAQ
Can you work from just a photo or a sketch?
Yes. A clear photo with a rough measurement or two is often enough to get started. The more reference you can give us — angles, dimensions, the part it has to fit — the closer the first version lands.
What file formats do you deliver?
A print-ready STL as standard, or STEP if you need it. Because we work in Fusion 360, we can also hand over the editable source so you (or another shop) can tweak it later.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the work involved. Small edits are charged by the hour from £60; for bigger jobs we’ll quote a fixed price per project. Either way you’ll have the number before we start — no surprises.
How long does it take?
Most jobs are ready in about a week. Complex parts, multiple revisions, or reverse-engineering from a physical object can take longer — we’ll tell you when you send the details.
Can you fix a file that won’t print?
Usually, yes — non-manifold edges, gaps, wall thickness, and models that slice full of errors are the everyday stuff. Send it over and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a quick fix or a rebuild.
