You’ve got the model, we’ve got the printers. Send us your file and we’ll print it in the right material, at the right settings, and get it back to you fast. Minimum charge is £15 per print, however small the part.

What we need from you

An STL, STEP or 3MF file, roughly what the part has to do, and how many you need. If you’re not sure which material to pick, don’t worry about it — tell us where the part will live and what it has to put up with, and we’ll advise. No file yet? We can design or fix one for you.

What it costs

Every print starts at a £15 minimum, however small the part — a printer still has to be set up, run and cleaned down for a 10-gram bracket. Above that, the price is worked out from print time, material used, whether the job needs more than one material, and whether it needs special support structures.

If you want a quick prototype and don’t care what colour it is, say so. We print a lot in black PETG and keep it loaded, so it’s the cheapest way to get a functional part in your hands.

We only use quality filament that we’ve tested ourselves. Cheap unbranded filament prints inconsistently and fails in ways you find out about later, on your part rather than on our printer.

Choosing the right material

The honest short version: if it lives outside, PETG. If it lives in a car or anywhere hot, ASA or Nylon CF. If it has to survive rubbing and wear, PETG or Nylon CF. If it just has to look good on a shelf, PLA.

A note on cars. PLA will deform in a car on a sunny day — not a maybe. PETG will likely soften too if it sits in direct sun through the glass. If the part lives in a vehicle, ASA or Nylon carbon fibre is the sensible choice.

Gears and wearing parts. Nylon carbon fibre is what we reach for when something has to rub, mesh or grind. We’ve printed small functional gears for vacuum cleaners and large gears for industrial car-engine washing machines, and they held up in service.

Statues and display pieces. PLA in a marble-effect or silver filament gives a genuinely good finish straight off the printer. We don’t paint them — the material does the work.

Who this is for — and when you don’t need us

3D printing earns its keep on one-offs, spares, prototypes, low volumes and awkward shapes — the parts nobody mass-produces, or that you need in days rather than months.

Where it doesn’t: if the part is already sold online, we probably can’t beat the price of an injection-moulded one. Moulding spreads its tooling cost over tens of thousands of units; we print yours one at a time. We’ll tell you straight rather than take the job.

Quantity is a different matter, though — don’t assume a big order is off the table. We print large parts and large batches regularly, and the more you need, the better the unit price. Send us the numbers and we’ll come back with a discount.

3D printing in Bristol — and across the UK

We’re based in Bristol, and we’re glad to work with local customers face to face — it’s much easier to get a part right when you can hand it over and talk it through. That includes the surrounding area: Bath, Gloucester, Weston-super-Mare and Swindon are all easy runs for us.

You don’t have to be local, though. Most of our work arrives as a file by email and goes back out by post, so we print and deliver anywhere in the UK just as easily.

FAQ

How much does a 3D print cost?
The minimum is £15 per print, no matter how small the part. Beyond that, the price depends on print time, material used, whether more than one material is needed, and whether the shape requires special supports. Send the file and we’ll quote it.

What’s the cheapest way to get a prototype printed?
Black PETG. We print in it constantly and keep it loaded, so if you just need a functional part to test and the colour is irrelevant, that’s the cheapest route.

How big can you print?
Up to 340 × 320 × 340 mm on a single printer. Bigger than that, we print in sections and join them — we’ve done it successfully on large parts, so ask rather than assuming it’s impossible.

How long does it take?
Typically 2–5 days, depending on the job and how busy the printers are. We’ve turned parts around the same day for people who were stuck; urgent jobs carry a surcharge.

Which material should I choose?
Tell us where the part lives and what it has to do. Outdoors: PETG. Inside a car or anywhere hot: ASA or Nylon carbon fibre. Rubbing or wearing surfaces: PETG or Nylon carbon fibre. Indoor and decorative: PLA.

Can I leave a printed part in my car?
Yes — in ASA, Nylon carbon fibre or another high-temperature filament. PLA will deform on a sunny day, and PETG may soften in direct sun through glass.

Do you offer 3D printing near me in Bristol?
Yes. We’re based in Bristol and happy to deal with local customers directly, including Bath, Gloucester, Weston-super-Mare and Swindon. If you’re further afield, send the file over — we print and post across the UK.

Do you do large batches, or only one-offs?
Both. We print large parts and large runs regularly, and the unit price drops as the quantity goes up. Tell us how many you need and we’ll quote a discount.

Do you paint prints?
No. For display pieces we print in marble-effect or silver filament, which looks good as it comes off the printer without painting.

What files do you accept?
STL, STEP or 3MF. If you don’t have a printable file — or yours is broken — we can design it or repair it.

Will the part have visible layer lines?
Yes, to some degree — that’s a normal result of the 3D printing process rather than a fault. Every printed part has them. They don’t affect strength, weather resistance or fit. Parts come to you cleaned up, with supports removed.
