Snapped the pull tab on your van’s sliding side window? You’re not alone. The original latch on older Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato and Citroën Jumper / Relay windows is a thin moulded part that goes brittle with age, and it’s rarely sold on its own. That usually leaves you hunting for a used one or pricing up a whole new window. This set replaces it.
Window part numbers
This latch matches the sliding side windows fitted to many Boxer, Ducato and Jumper minibuses, sold under these replacement-window part numbers:
| Side |
Clear glass |
Privacy / tinted glass |
| Left |
8569HT |
8569HV |
| Right |
8569HY |
8569JA |
A matching number is a good sign, but please still compare your latch with our photos before ordering (see below).
Stronger where the original breaks
We redesigned the latch with extra material around the sections that crack, while keeping the shape and movement the window needs. It’s printed in a high-temperature, carbon-fibre-reinforced engineering plastic, and it has been tested in daily use on school buses, where the windows get opened and slammed far more than on any camper.
Pinch latch, pull tab, window clip: same part
Nobody seems to agree what this part is called. If you pinch or pull a small tab to release your sliding window, and the tab looks like the one in our photos, this is the one you’re after.
Check the shape before you order
Different window makers and conversions fitted different latches, even on the same van, and windows are sometimes replaced with a different make over the years. So please compare your latch with our photos: the overall shape, the openings, the mounting points and the pull handle must all match. Don’t go by the registration, model name or part number alone. Not sure? Send us clear photos of your old latch (front and back), the broken bit and the window frame, and we’ll check it against ours before you buy.
Fitting
Remove the broken latch carefully and fit the new one in the same position and the same way round. Don’t force, twist or sharply bend the long arm while fitting. If you’re not sure how your window mechanism goes together, a professional fitter is the safer bet.
How it’s made
3D-printed in carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic by our family-owned business in the UK. It has a fine matte black, lightly textured finish. Fine layer lines and small surface variations are normal for 3D printing and don’t affect how it works. Because of the extra reinforcement, it can look slightly chunkier than the original part.
In the set
1 × reinforced pull latch, 1 × compression spring, 1 × matching latch cover. The window, frame and original broken part shown in the photos are for identification only and aren’t included.
This is an aftermarket replacement, not a genuine Peugeot, Fiat or Citroën part. Manufacturer names and window part numbers are used only to describe fit.
