Frequently Asked Questions
What size is this cover?
45mm is the inside width of the cover, not the outside. Measure the width of your doorbell - its width, not a diameter - and pick a cover at least 5-10mm wider than that; more clearance is better. That gap is what stops the doorbell's infrared lights bouncing back off the inside of the cover at night, so do not aim for a snug fit.
What does the cover do?
It is a rain hood that sits over your doorbell to keep direct rain, sun glare and weather off the camera and button - helping it last longer and see more clearly.
How do I fit it?
It screws to the wall - that is the only mounting method, there is no adhesive option. One screw and one wall plug come with it. You do not have to take your doorbell down: hold the cover in place, check the camera view in your app, then mark, drill and fit.
Why should I check the camera view at night before drilling?
Because after dark the doorbell turns on its infrared lights, and if the cover sits too close to the lens the IR bounces off the underside and washes the picture out. A position that looks fine in daylight can ruin the night view, so check both before you make a hole.
Will it block the camera or sensor?
No - it is shaped to shield from above while leaving the lens, button and motion sensor clear, provided you set the height using the app view as above.
Which doorbells does it fit?
It is universal and works across many brands - and it is not only for doorbells. Plenty go on access control readers, entry keypads, fingerprint scanners and digital door locks. What matters is width, not badge: this one suits anything up to roughly 35mm wide, which leaves 5-10mm of clearance inside the 45mm opening. Measure yours before you order.
