Our first holder, and still the one we sell most of. A neodymium magnet sunk into a heavy-duty plastic shell, so your tracker clamps onto anything ferrous and stays there — through engine vibration, potholes, washdowns and a British winter.

How it attaches

A high-grade neodymium magnet grabs any ferrous metal: chassis rails, subframes, engine bays, tow hitches, plant machinery, steel toolboxes, shipping containers, gates.

That is the magnet's real advantage — speed. Nothing to clean, nothing to prepare, no curing time. You drop it on and it is tracking. And because it comes off just as fast, one holder can follow whichever machine or vehicle is going somewhere you would rather it didn't: the exposed job, the overnight site, the car park you don't trust. If you run a fleet or a yard full of kit, that is worth more than a permanent fixing.

The shape is deliberately unremarkable. Tucked beside an engine block or up inside a wheel arch it reads as part of the vehicle, which is rather the point of a hidden tracker.

Why plastic and not metal

Most rival holders are machined aluminium or steel. They look serious in the photos, and they are the wrong material for the job. A metal shell sits between your tracker's aerial and the phones it needs to reach, so the signal is weaker and the tag has to work harder — which you pay for in battery life.

Ours is plastic. The signal passes straight through, so your tag is picked up from further away and the battery lasts as long as Apple or Motorola intended. The only metal in the holder is the magnet, and it sits behind the tracker rather than wrapped around it.

Built for outside

Water resistant, vibration resistant and impact resistant. Ours have gone out on vans, motorbikes, excavators, tractors, boats, trailers and farm equipment.

Which of the four should you buy?

  • ORIGINAL (this one) — the toughest magnetic mount. Metal assets, industrial and vehicle use, and the fastest to deploy or move.
  • SLIM — the same magnet in a smaller, more discreet body, plus a 3M VHB adhesive pad.
  • BASIC — the same 3M VHB pad plus zip ties, no magnet. The cheapest of the four.
  • SUPREME — magnet, pad and zip ties in one slim body.

Designed and 3D printed in bio-plastic in our own family workshop in Bristol. Fine print lines are normal on a 3D-printed part and make no difference to how it works.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it fit the 2nd generation AirTag as well as the original?
Yes. The recess fits both the 1st and 2nd generation Apple AirTag, and it also takes the Motorola Moto Tag.
Is the AirTag included?
No. You get the holder only and drop in your own tracker, so you can move it between assets or replace the tag without buying a new mount.
Why is it plastic rather than machined metal?
Because metal is the wrong material for a tracker case. An aluminium or steel shell sits between the tag's aerial and the phones it needs to reach, weakening the signal and draining the battery faster. Plastic lets the signal straight through. The only metal here is the magnet, and it sits behind the tag.
How strong is the magnet, and will it fall off?
It is a high-grade neodymium magnet and it holds hard on clean ferrous metal. Ours have stayed put on engine bays, trailers and excavators. It does need metal a magnet actually grips, so aluminium bodywork, stainless trim and plastic panels are not suitable - for those use the SLIM, the BASIC or the SUPREME, which all carry the same 3M VHB adhesive pad. The BASIC is the cheapest way to get it.
Can I leave it outside all year?
Yes. It is water resistant, vibration resistant and impact resistant, and it is designed for permanent outdoor mounting on vehicles and machinery.
What is the difference between the ORIGINAL and the SLIM?
The magnet is the same strength in both. The ORIGINAL has a chunkier, more rugged body for industrial use, the SLIM is smaller and less noticeable and adds a 3M VHB adhesive pad for surfaces a magnet can't grip.
